The Accidental Chef now offers private cooking classes

March 14, 2004 - The boom cooking class is definitely settled in Richmond. Cooking classes continue to be sold as cooking over open public schools in the area. "The Accidental Leader" has taken the cooking instructions on another level, and now offers personalized culinary instruction, parties and dinners and wine in the kitchen of the house of a client. It is often difficult to coordinate with a cooking school, where business planning, a cooking class / party for a wedding shower, birthday or corporate training event. How many of these schools have booked well in advance, and have their own classpaths to consider the logistics alone can be a problem. The idea behind accidental head is to offer private education at home cooking for a client, giving customers the opportunity to design your own kitchen party, based on their specific needs. Customers can choose from a range of pre-planned menus or design your menu or theme party from scratch. For those who do not have the facitilies to host a party in her home kitchen, using an off-site, state of the art facility can be arranged. Class participation may be complete (hands-on) or demonstration. This service is designed for groups of 2 to 30 years. The Chief is the accidental creation of Kendra Bailey Morris, who currently serves as food critic for Style Weekly magazine and teaches cooking classes for Sur La Table and Williams-Sonoma. Courses are offered in Richmond, Charlottesville and emerging areas. Price is for each person and includes food, recipe packets, travel considerations and instructions. Classes start at $ 45 per person and based on the number of people, the kind of education, location and food expenses. Special rates for groups of 20 or more can be arranged. For the one-on-one private instruction, hourly rates apply.The accidental chef is willing to travel.
