Guinness Recipes

Do you like Guinness? Do you like the food? The combination of two of these, by cooking comfort food with a Guinness. Here is the recipe for an example: Guinness Rearbit Welsh grew up in Wales and has learned very early for a typical Wales, which is essentially a form of fancy cheese on toast (or grilled cheese without the top of toast). However, after searching the web I found a recipe for an Irish version of this delicious treat. Although similar to cheese on toast, is much richer and has a more "liquid" consistency. It is believed, in my opinion, a comfort food, and is a great healthy snack for children. Here's the recipe: Ingredients 2 tablespoons butter (or margarine). 2 tablespoons flour (for thickening). 1 teaspoon mustard (I use a French sweet mustard, but you can use your favorite). 1 teaspoon honey (no need for the recipe, but adds a subtle sweetness). 1 / 2 cup milk. 1 / 2 cup Guinness (if you have Guinness, most will). 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (can use your favorite cheese). Salt and pepper. Instructions for cooking, melt the butter and slowly stir in the flour, ensuring that no lumps. Simmer until it turns slightly brown. Remove pan from heat and slowly stir in milk. Return to heat and stir gently until the liquid thickens. Add the mustard, honey and Guinness beer. Cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Lower heat to lowest and add cheese, stirring gently until melted. Spread over toast and brown lightly under the grill
